The Word | Pastor Phil | @JesusLives
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We need to be reading our bibles and studying the word continuously.
In a world filled with distractions and competing ideologies, the Bible stands as a timeless beacon of truth, wisdom, and guidance.
God's Word, carefully recorded by human hands but divinely inspired, holds immense value for believers seeking to deepen their faith, understand God's character, and navigate life's challenges.
We will explore why reading the Word of God is of utmost importance for every believer. Through scriptural passages and reflection, we will uncover the transformative power that comes from engaging with the Scriptures, and it is POWERFUL.
2 Timothy 3:16-17. says: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
As Christians, we need spiritual food which is God’s Word. Since our bodies cannot work properly with lack of food, neither can our spirit lack God’s Word.
Psalm 119:105 says: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Please join us this Thursday evening at 7:30pm at Jesus Lives in Bellevue for great worship, great fellowship, and a good sermon called "The Word".

Longsuffering | Pastor Phil | @JesusLives
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Impatience is one of the most natural responses to the world around us and we are inclined to react to anything that confronts our selfish sense of time or comfort.
One quality of human character that has all but perished in our modern age is actually the 4th fruit of the Holy Spirit.
It’s called Longsuffering.
Similar to patience and forbearance, longsuffering is the quality of self-restraint in the face of instant anger or when someone or a situation is provoking you.
Ephesians 4:1-2 says:
“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.”
A person who has the gift of longsuffering is not quick to retaliate to anger.
They won't punch someone or yell at someone or even engage someone who has insulted, offended, or harmed him in some way.
The opposite of anger, Longsuffering is the most difficult attribute of God because it requires instant humility in the face of instant anger, which is why it's a fruit of His Holy Spirit.
In a world where impatience, intolerance, oversensitivity, and impulsive anger are so prevalent we need to step back and rely on the Holy Spirit for direction and while Longsuffering is not popular today, it is a gift that we all need more than ever right now because the world is on fire.
Please join us this Thursday in person or online for an amazing night of worship and an anointed teaching on the 4th Fruit of the Spirit: Longsuffering.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we leave the holiest time of the year, I am filled with a profound sense of awe and reverence for the conviction that surrounds the crucifixion and the cross. It is a conviction that transcends time and space, touching the very depths of our souls and reminding us of the immense sacrifice made for our redemption.
This Thursday night, we invite you to join us for our special Jesus Lives service, where we will come together as a community to hear a good word and reflect on the profound significance of the cross. Through prayer, scripture readings, and worship, we will journey through the final moments of Jesus' life, allowing ourselves to be enveloped by the powerful emotions that accompany this pivotal event in Christian history.
The crucifixion represents the ultimate act of love and selflessness, as Jesus willingly laid down His life for the salvation of humanity. It is a testament to the depth of God's grace and the unwavering commitment to His divine plan for our salvation.
During our Jesus Lives service, we will delve into the depths of this conviction, allowing it to penetrate our hearts and transform our lives. Together, we will explore the profound implications of Jesus' sacrifice and recommit ourselves to living lives worthy of His incredible gift.
I urge you to join us this Thursday night at 7:30PM as we gather to honor and celebrate the conviction of the cross. Let us come together in faith and unity, drawing strength from the knowledge that Jesus lives, and His love endures forever.

Locusts | Pastor Phil | @JesusLives
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I'm writing to extend a heartfelt invitation to you and your loved ones to join us this Thursday night at 7:30 PM for a powerful sermon that delves into a profound spiritual truth about Locusts.
Locusts in the Bible as agents of destruction, sent by God in Exodus against the Egyptians sent by Satan to wreak havoc in our lives.
In the book of Joel, for instance, we read about a devastating locust invasion, a metaphor for the spiritual assaults that can plague our lives. These spiritual locusts manifest in various forms – be it addiction, doubt, fear, or any other obstacle that obstructs our path towards spiritual fulfillment and growth.
By understanding the strategies of the enemy and equipping ourselves with the armor of God, we can emerge victorious in the face of adversity.
One of the most insidious ways these spiritual locusts operate is by robbing us of our time. They distract us with worldly pursuits, temptations, and anxieties, diverting our focus away from what truly matters – our relationship with God and the fulfillment of His purpose for our lives.
Before we know it, years have slipped away, and we find ourselves wondering where the time has gone.
Moreover, these spiritual locusts feed on our insecurities, doubts, and fears, gnawing away at our confidence and robbing us of the joy and peace that God intends for us to experience. They whisper lies of inadequacy and failure, causing us to second-guess our worth and potential.
I urge you to mark your calendars and make plans to join us for what promises to be a transformative evening at Jesus Lives.
Please feel free to invite friends, family, and anyone else who may benefit from this message of hope and redemption. Let us come together as a community, united in our faith and determination to overcome whatever challenges may come our way.
We look forward to welcoming you with open arms this Thursday night at Jesus Lives. Great worship, great fellowship, and of course a good word!

The Crown | Pastor Phil | @JesusLives
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we know, a crown traditionally symbolizes royalty and honor. However, the crown of thorns that adorned Jesus' head was a stark contrast—a symbol of mockery and humiliation.
The Romans intended to further degrade Jesus by inflicting physical pain upon him, driving the thorns deep into his skull, causing him to bleed.
But what do these thorns symbolize in the Bible? They represent consequences resulting from disobedience, torment, and challenges. They remind us of the struggles we face in our daily lives—the thorns in our flesh that cause us pain and anguish.
Many of us may be wearing our own metaphorical crown of thorns—experiencing hardship, feeling out of place, or questioning our purpose. But just as Jesus carried the weight of his crown of thorns, we are reminded that our trials can lead to growth and renewal.
In Matthew 16:24, Jesus tells his disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me."
This means embracing sacrifice, enduring trials, seeking God's will, and serving others.
We are reminded that we cannot expect prosperity without sacrifice, comfort without trials, answers without seeking, fulfillment without service, or healing without faith.
Please join us this Thursday evening at 7:30 for anointed worship, fellowship, and a good word simply called "The Crown".
